About Us
Insight Engineering provides professional geotechncial and environmental consultating services.
Our team is comprised of Jana Kruyshaar and Claude Midgley, each bringing with them unique and valuable insights for the success of your project.
Jana is a Chartered Professional Geotechnical Engineer (CPEng) accredited by the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ). Her career commenced in Auckland in 2004. Since then she has worked on a range of civil construction projects, residential and industrial land development projects, as well as commercial structures. Jana moved to Christchurch in 2010 and has been integrally involved in the recovery of Christchurch following the earthquakes ever since. She specialises in land development, commercial construction, liquefaction and slope stability assessment, shallow and deep foundation design and retaining wall design.
Claude is a Certifed Environmental Practioner (CEnvP) accredited by the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ). In 2004, he completed a masters of science degree focused on assessment of ecological impacts resulting from invasive plants. Since 2005, he has specialised in the investigation of contamination in air, soil, water and buildings, as well as Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He has completed countless large and small projects across New Zealand, but has also been fortunate to work on large projects in Australia, The Federated States of Micronesia, The Republic of Palau and The Republic of the Marshall Islands.
Together, Claude and Jana hope to share their skills and insight to assist in developing Central Otago in a sustainable manner that will preserve the amenity and beauty of the region.
